Are you lacking inspiration or energy?
There are many ways our inspiration and energy can be drained. However, did you know, the most common energy drainer is a toxic relationship?
Let’s uncover the 4 types of toxic people in your life and what to do about them.
01) TOXIC PEOPLE LEAVE YOU FEELING UNINSPIRED
Have you ever had lunch with someone and left feeling like there’s a negative side to everything you think about for the rest of the day? That’s a bad sign. If there is someone in your life that drops their ‘hopeless mentality’ onto you, it’s time to evaluate the worth of that relationship.
02) TOXIC PEOPLE THRIVE OFF YOUR GUILT
If someone has ever made you feel guilty over something minor, they may be a toxic person. This type of toxic person has something that they feel guilty about and… well, misery needs company.
03) TOXIC PEOPLE LOVE TO MANIPULATE YOU
This ties into the previous point about guilt but takes it one, toxic step further. This person will highlight your guilt. They will suggest (through actions or words) that you do something to ‘fix’ how you’re feeling. This is manipulation. For example, suppose you are a very reliable person and promised you would do something for someone but it slipped your mind. This person then guilts you for doing this, puts on a nasty attitude until you do something to ‘fix’ it. They may even be immature enough to ignore you.
To sum it up, manipulators are attention-seeking, hypersensitive, time-wasters. Stand clear.
04) TOXIC PEOPLE SEVERELY LACK CONFIDENCE
Toxic people avoid confident people. If you show a sign of confidence, the first person to put you down or criticize you is a toxic, insecure person. PRO TIP – Remember, if you’re working on a project or idea within your business… protect it. There’s nothing that toxic people love more than to verbally demolish an entrepreneur’s vision before it has had time to bloom. Why? Because it is way over their heads and they lack the skill and confidence to make it happen themselves.
