There’s a reason for that.  If you are serious about making your blog a profitable blog, you must start utilizing the power of content marketing.  If you have no idea what content marketing is, you are in luck!

I am going to break down what content marketing actually is, why you need to use it, and how you can apply it to your blog, today!

So… here we go!

What is content marketing?

Content marketing is, by definition, a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly-defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive profitable customer action.  However, content marketing in my opinion is, giving your audience what they really want and need to be successful or happy in their life.

But there’s good news; you are going to be a success. Why? Because you are reading this post!

How do you make content marketing work for you?

Firstly, you must know your niche.  When you know your niche, your content marketing plan becomes much easier to create.

Secondly, go into the online spaces where your niche hangs out and ask them specific questions. Where do they hang out? Instagram? Pinterest? Facebook groups? Poll them, DM them asking specific questions like, “what’s your biggest struggle when it comes to ____(the topic on which you write)___?” The answers to these questions are your foundation for your content marketing strategy.

Thirdly, brain-dump all your blog post ideas. Use batch work to plan out your blog posts. The goal is to help your audience understand why your topic is important, and give them insane value, followed by an offer to upgrade the value you have just provided.

Fourth, write and create blog posts crafted around your goals.  I have a template to help you do just that. The goal for every blog post your write is to lead your audience to you CTA (call to action.)  Whatever your CTA is, make sure that your reader would click on that blog post to begin with!
